The city of St. Paul on Wednesday announced the closure of playgrounds, sports courts and skate parks after Gov. Tim Walz extended the state's 'stay at home order.'

According to the city, the closures were made due to the recent seasonal increase in demand for use of the amenities and concern over public safety because of the lack of social distancing possibilities during the activities.
