Hennepin Theatre Trust announced Wednesday that all patrons aged 12 and older will need to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination and wear a mask to attend shows at the Orpheum, State and Pantages theatres, effective immediately. Guests under 12 who are not yet eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine will not need proof of a negative COVID-19 test but will need to wear a mask, the organization said.

If someone is of age to be vaccinated but is not due to medical reasons or religious beliefs, they can still attend shows by showing a negative PCR COVID-19 test from within the past 72 hours or a negative antigen test from within 24 hours.

The new policy mirrors the one put in place for Broadway shows in New York City by the Broadway League.

It goes into effect Wednesday and is set to be in place through the end of the year. Hennepin Theatre Trust says it will continue to monitor health and safety policies and make adjustments to the rules as needed.
