COVID-19 in Wisconsin: Record-high 107 new deaths, 4,078 new cases

Wisconsin health officials on Tuesday announced a new single-day record-high of 107 new deaths related to COVID-19, moving the state’s total to 3,420 deaths since the pandemic began. The previous single-day record was 104 deaths reported on Nov. 24.

Additionally, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) reported 277 new hospitalizations, moving the total number of hospitalizations during the pandemic to 17,372.

A total of 391,313 positive cases of COVID-19 have now been confirmed in Wisconsin, with 4,078 new cases reported Tuesday.

As of Tuesday, DHS reports that more than 2.54 million people have been tested in the state.

The state’s seven-day average positivity rate by person is at 30.1%.
