Twin Cities cab company closes

You have probably seen their cabs around the Twin Cities, but Monday was the end of the road for Suburban and Green and White Taxi.

Employees said Monday the company closed and laid off about 100 drivers.


Workers blame ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft for a decline in business.

Driver Mike Miller says he got a phone call telling him to turn in his keys. 

"Our doors are closed," Miller said. "We stopped taking calls, company is closing come and get your money you got coming."  

5 EYEWITNESS NEWS tried calling the company several times to confirm the closing, but did not hear back.
