Sun Country announced Tuesday it is adding 19 new, nonstop routes in 2019.
The airline, currently headquartered in Eagan, reported the expansion includes eight new nonstop routes for Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport as well as eight new nonstop routes in Nashville, Tennessee, Dallas Fort Worth and Portland, Oregon. The airline is also adding nonstop flights from Las Vegas, San Antonio and Providence, Rhode Island.
Airline officials said the added routes are part of an "overall growth plan." That plan also includes increasing the company's Twin Cities-based workforce by 10 percent this year.
