A new, citywide program in Minneapolis is working to help those in the service industry gain access to mental health and addiction counseling.
The nonprofit Serving Those Serving is offering services to those in need of them.
Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey says wellness services are necessary throughout the year for workers to help deal with the stress of the job.
"It's tough and with that difficulty comes the need to support," Frey said.
Since starting in January, the program has helped 600 employees from more than 18 restaurants.
