Union Berlin flying, Hertha Berlin floundering in Bundesliga

BERLIN (AP) — Union Berlin has come from behind to beat Hoffenheim 3-1 and rise to third in the Bundesliga. City rival Hertha Berlin has lost by the same score at Bochum and dropped into the relegation zone. Bochum’s win took it out of the drop zone at the visitors’ expense. Freiburg slumped to a 6-0 rout at Wolfsburg to drop from second place to fourth. Eintracht Frankfurt moved to second with a 2-0 win over last-place Schalke. Germany forward Niclas Füllkrug scored again for Werder Bremen. But his team conceded seven goals in a 7-1 loss at Cologne. Saturday’s results mean Bayern Munich is assured of being first at the halfway stage.
