Ga Tech’s Key rounds out coaching staff with 6 new hires
ATLANTA (AP) — Georgia Tech head coach Brent Key has rounded out his staff with the addition of six new assistants. They include former Georgia quarterback quality control coach Buster Faulkner taking over as offensive coordinator. Faulkner is joined by returning quarterbacks coach Chris Weinke, who has been promoted to co-offensive coordinator. Andrew Thacker also returns as defensive coordinator, but he’ll now work with Kevin Sherrer. He was hired as co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach. The other new assistants are running backs coach Norval McKenzie, receivers coach Josh Crawford, offensive line coach Geep Wade and defensive line coach Marco Coleman.
