LOS ANGELES (AP) — The College Football Playoff title game is the next landmark on Georgia defensive tackle Jalen Carter’s football journey. That trip has taken him from Apopka, Florida, to the Bulldogs’ bid to become repeat national champions when they face TCU. Carter is the most highly regarded talent and the most surefire future pro star playing in Inglewood. Many talent evaluators believe he’s the player with the highest upside in the upcoming NFL draft, where the 300-pound lineman with freakish athleticism is widely expected to be a top-three pick. Carter’s teammates and coaches say he’s a likable, laid-back talent.
