WASHINGTON (AP) – FBI says former President Donald Trump was the subject of “an apparent assassination attempt” at his Florida golf club.
No injuries were reported after gunshots near Trump’s golf club in West Palm Beach, a sheriff’s spokesperson says.
The sheriff’s office says the suspect involved in the incident was unarmed when taken into custody in a neighboring county.
An AK-style firearm was recovered near Trump’s golf course where shots were fired, two law enforcement officials tell AP.
Trump has returned to his Mar-a-Lago resort at this time, an AP source says.
