2 plead guilty to arson at MPD 3rd Precinct

Two men have pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit arson at the Minneapolis Police Department’s Third Precinct.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office said 25-year-old Davon De-Andre Turner and 23-year-old Branden Michael Wolfe, both of St. Paul, have each entered guilty pleas.

According to their pleas, on May 28, 2020, Turner and Wolfe separately went to the Third Precinct, where a crowd was shouting, "Burn it down, burn it down." Turner, and a man later identified as Bryce Michael Williams, worked together to light an incendiary device to start a fire. It was then taken into the precinct by Turner and was used to start a fire. Wolfe pushed a barrel into a fire and admitted he was trying to accelerate the fire.

Wolfe is set to be sentenced on April 22 while Turner’s sentencing is set for May 13. Additionally, Williams and Dylan Shakespeare Robinson have also pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit arson and will be sentenced on March 9 and April 6, respectively.
