Floyd was pronounced dead Monday night after he was taken into custody by police in south Minneapolis. A video that was circulated online shows Chauvin holding his knee on the back of Floyd's neck for several minutes. Three other officers, who have been fired, were present during the arrest as well.

"It's time now, go get the other ones if they need to be locked up," she said.

At the time Ross was on her way to assist in cleaning up businesses along Lake Street that had been looted, saying it is what Floyd would have done.

Ross added, "I would like to make the call for peace for everyone, please today, please be peaceful, we need to rise up in peace today for him, that what Floyd would want."

Her plea for peace comes after days violent protests across the Twin Cities metro area.
