Warm, Sunny St. Patrick's Day Expected

It will be nowhere near the record high, however, Minnesotans can expect warm weather on St. Patrick's Day, according to KSTP Meteorologist Sam Ryan.

Ryan said Saturday is expected have plenty of sun and temperatures are expected to reach a high of 50 degrees.


He said the warmest St. Patrick's Day on record in Minnesota reached 80 degrees.

The warm weather is expected to continue into Sunday, with temperatures reaching 50 degrees again.

Temperatures will drop slightly at the beginning of the week, only reaching the low 40s.

Ryan said along with slightly colder temperatures, there is a chance for light rain and snow Tuesday.
