Temperatures are expected to stay well above average for the next week, according to KSTP Meteorologist Sam Ryan.

Wednesday is expected to reach a high of 44 degrees, with temperatures dropping to 32 degrees in the evening. Thursday is expected to cool down slightly, with temperatures reaching 40 degrees.

The rest of the week is expected to hang around 40 degrees or above.

The average temperatures for late November and early December are usually in the mid-30s, according to weather data. KSTP Meteorologist Nicole Mitchell said the month has seen quite the switch in temperature averages. At the beginning of the month, temperatures remained well below the average.

Ryan said Twin Cities residents need to enjoy the warm weather while it's here, because arctic air is expected to move into the area next week and cool things down.
