Here comes the sun.

And it is expected to stick around into what is shaping up as a splendid fall weekend.

KSTP's Dave Dahl said the sunshine that broke through Wednesday after a pair of cloudy, rainy days should hang around the rest of the week.

He said the high Thursday should be in the low 70s, though a cool front Friday might make for a high in the low 60s that day.

Saturday, though, could see highs in the upper 60s with lots of sunshine - making it a perfect day to get out and tour fall color, which is already reaching the 75 to 90 percent range in parts of northern Minnesota.

Sunday could bring more clouds and the chance of a shower or two by afternoon. But Dahl said the high could reach the low 70s. And there is a shot at being back in the 80s again next week.
