WINDLER: Chik's Pics - It's About Time!
The hunt for the elusive 50-degree temp is over. After a two-week stint of unseasonably cool temps, we're heading in the right direction now. The high made it to 52 on Wednesday afternoon, marking the first 50+ high since we hit 55 on March 24th. And though 52 sounds pretty good, it's technically still below normal! Wednesday, April 8th, 2009 - Nicollet Mall in Minneapolis The weather: mostly sunny and breezy. If you could ignore the wind, you'd think it was a fantastic day. The big story was that made it to 52 degrees, the warmest in a couple weeks! I went down to Nicollet Mall to take pics of the lunch crowd getting some sunshine and fresh air. Sure, there were still plenty of coats, but some workers opted for a lighter jacket or even no coat at all. I think everyone's ready for spring to finally spring! We could even make a run at 60 this weekend. And what great timing with all the Easter egg hunts across the Twin Cities! Remember last Easter? Yep, it snowed!
