Here comes the Sun

Getting in my car around 2 pm this afternoon I noticed that the seat, and even the rest of the interior felt warm.  The temperature at the time was only 18 degrees, not exactly the type of weather that would make a car feel warm when you first get in.  On December 21 the sun started its journey back north and has been getting higher in the sky each day.  Oh sure we've all noted that the days are getting longer, but after the cold temps this past weekend I really doubted the impact of late February/early March sun.   That was until today, not only did my car feel warm getting in, but I was able to drive my car to a burger joint 7 miles away without the heater on and didn't feel cold at all.  And even our home's heater is running less on cold days.

Think about this, the sun on March 2 is as high in the sky as it is on (Oct. 10th).  And by the end of next week, the sun will be as high as it is in late September.  Its doubtful that we will reach the September 30th average high of 65 degrees sometime in the next 10 days, but eventually the sun's strength will fuel warmer weather.  I don't know about you, but I hope its soon.

Here's to Spring, my favorite season
