State Patrol Reports 288 Crashes by 4 PM Monday

The wintry weather blanketing Minnesota Monday was causing difficulties on the state's roadways.

The state patrol reported 288 crashes from midnight Monday to 4 p.m. - including 32 that resulted in injuries. Though there have been no reports of serious injuries or fatalities.


The state patrol has also received 168 reports of vehicles spinning out and/or going off the road and four reports of jackknifed semis.

KSTP's Dave Dahl said about 1 to 2 inches of snow were expected in the Twin Cities by the end of the day Monday - a total that could rise to between 2 and 4 inches by the time the snow finally tapers off Tuesday afternoon.
