Next Rounds of Snow Expected Friday, Sunday

After a measurable amount of snow was dropped in the Twin Cities on Monday, more is expected to make its way to the area over the weekend.

KSTPs Chief Morning Meteorologist Ken Barlow says the next round of precipitation can be expected Friday, with an 80 percent chance of snow. That snow may continue it Saturday, with light flurries in the morning.

Barlow expects Friday snow to only accumulate to half-an-inch. Meteorologist Jonathan Yuhas says the Twin Cities could receive enough snow to make the evening commute slick.

On Sunday, there is a 60 percent chance of snow, which could continue into Monday as well.

Temperatures Friday and Saturday are expected to be in the 20s. On Sunday, temperatures are expected to hover right at the freezing point.

Temperatures will drop again next week, staying in the upper to mid-20s.
