The Scott County Sheriff's Office is advising boaters to use extreme caution when on the Minnesota River near Belle Plaine.

A Facebook post from the office said the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has said that because the river level is currently so high, power lines are hanging approximately four feet above the surface of the water.
