Warm-Up Continues as Weekend Heat Wave Approaches

Thursday brings more heat to the metro, and it is only going to get hotter.

According to KSTP Meteorologist Jonathan Yuhas, Thursday will be breezy and very warm, with a high of 87 degrees. An isolated thunderstorm is possible.

Later on, expect scattered showers and possible thunderstorms. The overnight low is 69.

Friday morning could bring another storm, but then Minnesotans are in for more warm weather, with a high of 88.

The holiday weekend looks to be sweltering, with highs around 90 degrees every day, including Memorial Day. In addition to the heat, the sun will be out all weekend.

Next week begins with a slight cooldown into the mid to low 80s, and more thunderstorms possible.
