The Minnesota Department of Transportation closed Highway 93 between Henderson and Highway 169 this morning due to flooding of the Rush River.

This section of Highway 93, between 308th Lane and Ridge Road in Henderson, will remain closed until further notice. MnDOT advises motorists to watch for traffic control devices as officials continue to monitor the situation.

Mike Anton had to find another route around the road closure while riding his motorcycle Sunday.

"You just got low lying areas, you got rivers, it's going to happen," Anton said.

MnDOT is tracking rising water on rivers throughout the southwest and south central Minnesota area. Depending on water levels and conditions, it may require additional road closures in the coming days.
