July 22, 2016 08:56 AM

It's the final day of the three-day heat wave.

The excessive heat warning, in place since 1 p.m. Wednesday, will expire at 7 p.m. Friday, the National Weather Service said.

The high is expected to reach 94, and the heat index will surpass 100. KSTP Meteorologist Sam Ryan says the humidity is down Friday.

The excessive heat warning has been reduced to counties in the lower half of Minnesota. Humidity will be lower in northern Minnesota, and it won't feel as hot, Ryan said.

An air pollution advisory starts at 11 a.m. Friday and lasts until 9 p.m. Friday. Those with pre-existing breathing conditions could have difficulties.
