The National Weather Service has issued an alert warning of elevated fire conditions in a number of Minnesota counties, including the Twin Cities metro area, Tuesday afternoon.

The counties included in the alert are: Anoka, Benton, Blue Earth, Carver, Chisago, Dakota, Douglas, Faribault, Freeborn, Goodhue, Hennepin, Isanti, Kanabec, Le Sueur, Martin, McLeod, Mille Lacs, Nicollet, Ramsey, Rice, Scott, Sherburne, Sibley, Steele, Todd, Waseca, Washington and Wright.
