Below Average Temps Expected Friday, Warm-Up to Follow

March 08, 2018 10:29 PM

Temperatures are expected to be below average Friday in the Twin Cities.

However, KSTP Chief Meteorologist Dave Dahl said warm weather is on its way.

Dahl said Friday is expected to be partly cloudy, with temperatures reaching a high of 34 degrees.

The average temperature for this time of year is 37 degrees, Dahl said.

Temperatures are expected to reach that average Saturday, breaking into the high 30s. That trend is expected to continue through Tuesday. And by Wednesday, temperatures could reach a high of 45.

Dahl added there is a slight chance for rain and snow Saturday, but due to warm temperatures, it should melt quickly.
