Metro Transit officials said delays were expected Thursday morning after a water main break occurred in St. Paul.
Green Line train service was affected while crews were at the scene of the water main break near 7th Street and Cedar Avenue.
Metro Transit officials told KSTP light rail service between Union Depot and the Capitol-Rice Street station was initially suspended as a precaution.
Thursday morning, officials advised those wanting to take the light rail to board westbound Green Line trains on the eastbound platforms between Central and the Capitol-Rice Street station.

At about 7:30 a.m., Metro Transit issued an update that trains were operating on their normal tracks.
UPDATE: Green Line trains are now operating on the normal tracks in downtown St. Paul. Please expect residual delays as we work to get back on schedule.— Metro Transit (@MetroTransitMN) November 30, 2017
