KSTP Traffic Reporter Josie Smith said the incident had originally blocked nearly all lanes of the interstate, which was fully shut down for a brief period of time.

Two lanes reopened just before 9 a.m., according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

All lanes reopened just before 9:30 a.m., Smith said.

Smith said traffic was initially being diverted onto southbound Interstate 35W or drivers were able to cut through downtown by exiting at Fourth Street.

MnDOT officials said there were no injuries.
