Two pickup trucks were stolen from residences in Morrison County within four days of each other, the Morrison County Sheriff's Office says.

Both vehicles were unlocked and keys were inside.

The first theft occurred overnight Friday from a residence on Ginger Road in Green Prairie Township. The stolen pickup was a 1992 two-tone Chevy single cab with license plate 457-JRR. It was blue and silver in color and had a round amber emergency light above a silver topper, the sheriff's office said in a release.

The truck's wheel wells were reportedly freshly painted and had primer paint on them.

On Tuesday, four days later, a 1997 red Dodge extended cab pickup was stolen during the late morning hours from a residence in Culdrum Township. The truck had a small light bar on the front bumper, black rims and a CB radio inside. Its license plate was 029-NLM, the sheriff's office said.

Sheriff Shawn Larsen urged residents to remove valuables and keys from their vehicles and to lock doors. Anyone with information on the stolen vehicles should contact the sheriff's office at 320-632-9233.
