Two individuals from Utah were killed in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in Stearns County that also left a 15-year-old who had been reported missing in critical condition.
The Stearns County Sheriff's Department reports Cody Alan Randall, 30, and J.D. Delance Randall, 24, both of Washington City, Utah, were ejected from their vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
Another passenger in the car, 15-year-old Katie Seegmiller, also of Washington City, was extricated from the vehicle by the Cold Spring Fire Department and airlifted to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, where the sheriff's department said she was listed in critical condition.
The sheriff's department confirmed Wednesday night that Seegmiller had been reported missing from Utah on Jan. 23.
According to the release, the vehicle, a 2008 Mitsubishi Gallant, had been southbound on County Road 2 when the driver appeared to have lost control and slid sideways into the northbound lane near the intersection with Island Lake Road in Wakefield Township.
The Gallant was then struck by a 2002 Buick LeSabre driven by Sandra Hansen, 64, of Cold Spring. The crash sent the Gallant into the eastbound ditch where the vehicle rolled, ejecting Cody and J.D. Randall.
Hansen was also extricated from her vehicle and transported by ambulance to St. Cloud Hospital, where the sheriff's department said she was listed in stable condition.
The crash remains under investigation.
