1 Injured in Collision Involving a Vehicle in Gov. Dayton's Motorcade

One person was injured Thursday night in a two-vehicle collision in St. Paul that involved a vehicle in Gov. Mark Dayton's motorcade, according to the St. Paul Police Department.

The crash occurred at 7 p.m. at Summit Avenue and Dale Street.


Police said an adult man was taken to the hospital for injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening.

Lt. Tiffani Nielson, a public information officer with the State Patrol, said the vehicle involved was a State Patrol vehicle in the governor's motorcade. The vehicle was following Gov. Dayton, according to Nielson.

The St. Paul Police Department is investigating the incident.
