There are a couple of new road closures to watch for around the metro this weekend.

Highway 65 closed at 9 a.m. between Mississippi Street and 73rd Avenue in Fridley for road repairs. Only the northbound lanes are closed; southbound remains open. All lanes are expected to open by 7 p.m. Saturday. Learn more about the project.

In Burnsville, County Road 42 eastbound will close at Interstate 35W by 10 p.m. Saturday. At the same time, traffic westbound will reopen. The eastbound closure has been postponed a couple of times this week due to rain. Once crews shut down the eastbound lanes, motorists won't have access to the I-35W ramps for the next five weeks. Learn more about the project.
