Motorcyclist who T-Boned Car, Thrown from Bike in Dakota County Dies

A 47-year-old Mound man is dead after a fatal crash involving a car and motorcycle in Dakota County Saturday evening on Highway 50.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash happened at 4:43 p.m.

The Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling westbound on Hwy. 50, and the Oldsmobile Alero driven by a 19-year-old from Faribault was stopped at the bottom of the ramp from southbound 52 to cross Hwy. 50, the State Patrol reports.

The Alero's view was obstructed by another vehicle, the report notes.

The Alero driver "slowly" moved forward, and continued southbound across Hwy. 50 after seeing a break in traffic, the report states.

As the Alero crossed the highway, the motorcycle T-boned it, and the motorcyclist was throw from his bike, according to the State Patrol.

Authorities say the victim was transported from the scene and later died. He has not yet been identified.
