Driving along Highway 169 in the southwest metro is about to become even more difficult.
According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, Highway 169 will be reduced to one lane in both directions between Interstate 394 and the 5th Street/Lincoln Drive exit by 5 a.m. Monday.
The roadway is already closed between Bren Road and the 5th Street/Lincoln Drive exit until October while crews replace the Nine Mile Creek Bridge. The additional lane closures will continue into the fall as well. Crews will resurface the roadway, replace guardrails, and lengthen the acceleration/deceleration lanes at Cedar Lake Road.
Drivers are being encouraged to use either I-494 or Highway 100. Learn more about the project.
