Minnesota Department of Transportation officials closed the southbound Highway 280 ramp to eastbound Interstate 94 early Monday morning.

Drivers who normally take the southbound Highway 280 ramp to eastbound Interstate 94 in St. Paul might want to plan an alternate route.

Minnesota Department of Transportation officials closed the ramp early Monday morning. Crews are installing new drain pipes and will resurface the pavement.

Detour signs were posted, directing drivers to an alternate route to reach the interstate.

MnDOT officials said they expect to reopen the ramp by Saturday.
