Traffic on Hennepin County Road 101 in Minnetonka will be shifted starting Friday so crews can complete a reconstruction project on the road over the next few weeks.
Beginning at 9 a.m. Friday, traffic will be shifted to the east side of the road so crews can finish work on the west side, according to a release from Hennepin County.
Then, on April 17, construction activity will resume on County Road 101 between County Road 62 and Hutchins Drive.
The project, expected to result in safer crossings for bicyclists and pedestrians, as well as additional turn lanes at key locations, is expected to be completed this summer.
Pavement and drainage systems are also being improved and above-ground utility lines are being buried. There will also be a sidewalk on the west side of the road and a multi-use trail on the east side.
