Metro Transit Investigating Video Showing Attack of Bus Driver

Investigators are looking into an incident that was caught on video Tuesday where a Metro Transit bus driver was attacked by and individual, according to Metro Transit Spokesman Howie Padilla. 

The video shows a man enter a bus and begin to attack the bus driver.

Padilla said the incident took place around 3:45 p.m. Tuesday near Emerson and 15th avenues. 

Padilla said the individuals were standing at the bus stop when the driver pulled over, but had no intention of getting on the bus. He said investigators are working to find the individuals and figure out what provoked the attack.

Investigators are also looking into whether the person who filmed the video had a role in the attack, he said. 

Padilla added the driver is doing OK and suffered some bumps and bruises.
