All lanes at the Lowry Tunnel in Minneapolis are blocked on Interstate 94 and the tunnel is closed after a multi-vehicle crash on Thursday morning.
Traffic is getting rerouted, but KSTP Traffic Reporter Josie Smith reports it could take MnDOT awhile to clear the scene. She said the travel time with the rain and I-94 closure could add an hour to your commute.
Smoke could be seen coming out of the tunnel, and traffic is being rerouted to the prohibited vehicle route or Hennepin and Lyndale exit.
That exit ramp is set to close on Monday, April 24, for a week and a half.
