It might be the first day of spring but metro area drivers encountered light snow during the Tuesday morning commute.
KSTP Traffic Reporter Josie Smith said light snow could be seen via traffic cameras in the west metro.

Although Smith said road were relatively clear at the start of the commute, traffic did slow down as the morning progressed.
Smith said few slick roads contributed to slower traffic, particularly along highways 212 and 169 and interstates 35W and 494.
Meanwhile, Smith said a multi-vehicle crash occurred in Shakopee.
