WATCH 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS Morning for the latest traffic updates.
Roads were clearer Tuesday morning, making for an easier commute in the metro area.
KSTP Traffic Reporter Josie Smith said refreeze could occur in some spots on metro area roads. However, warmer weather was expected to prevent refreezing from becoming a widespread concern during the morning commute.
A few crashes occurred in the metro area, including on the right shoulder of southbound Interstate 35E near Highway 36 and two on Interstate 394 - one in the left lane of the westbound side and the other on the eastbound side's right shoulder.
Meanwhile, Smith reported the ramp from northbound Interstate 35W to westbound Interstate 94 with access to 5th Avenue/Grant Street was expected to close midnight to 5 a.m. Wednesday rather than Thursday, as initially planned.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation stated the closure change was in an effort to take advantage of warmer weather.
