KSTP Traffic Round-Up: Multi-Vehicle Crashes along Hwy 36, Hwy 252

Two separate multi-vehicle crashes occurred in the greater metro area Monday morning.

KSTP Traffic Reporter Josie Smith said one multi-vehicle crash occurred on Highway 252 near 66th Avenue in Brooklyn Center.


Another multi-vehicle crash happened on westbound Highway 36 near Fairview Avenue, blocking the left lane, Smith said.

Additionally, two crashes occurred along Interstate 94 within short succession of each other. Smith said one crash occurred on eastbound I-94 near Highway 169, The second crash, involving a bus, blocked the left lane of westbound I-94 near Interstate 35W.

Earlier, Smith said a crash on eastbound Interstate 94 at Riverside Avenue in Minneapolis blocked the right lane.

Meanwhile, Smith said traffic was stop-and-go on Highway 5 from Highway 55 to the airport exits between 5:10 and 5:50 a.m. Monday. Smith said traffic began clearing after that.
