WATCH 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS for the latest traffic and weather updates.

Westbound Interstate 94 lanes near Highway 101 in Rogers reopened after a jackknifed semi was cleared from the area.

Lanes were originally entirely blocked by the semi. KSTP Traffic Reporter Josie Smith advised taking Highway 10 or side roads over to Highway 241.

Meanwhile, it was a messy commute for many Friday.

The state patrol reported 137 crashes statewide from midnight to 11 a.m., 27 which resulted in injuries, though none with serious injuries or fatalities. There were also 193 reports of vehicles spinning out and/or going off the road.

Smith said plows were making their way throughout the metro area. She said although many highways were mainly just wet, ramps and city streets were trouble spots for drivers.

Smith reported several spinouts and stalled vehicles in the metro area Friday morning.

She said a semi stalled on the ramp from Highway 101 to Highway 169 in Shakopee. She added the ramp was closed as a result.

Additionally, Smith reported more vehicles became stuck on the eastbound Highway 101 ramp to northbound Highway 169 as the commute continued.

Smith said the ramp reopened after plows passed through, distributing chemicals along the ramp.

Smith also said a rollover occurred on southbound Interstate 35W near the Forest Lake split.

Smith also said a crash on westbound Interstate 94 backed up traffic to the Hudson Bridge.

Those with the Minnesota State Patrol advised drivers to give plows plenty of space and drive carefully.
