The Interstate 35 bridge in Minneapolis glows purple after the death of Prince in April of last year. The bridge will again glow purple this week to mark the one-year anniversary of his death.

The Interstate 35 bridge in Minneapolis will be lit in purple to commemorate the first anniversary of the death of Minnesota music legend Prince.

Gov. Mark Dayton has ordered the bridge to glow purple this Thursday and Friday night.

The bridge is equipped with a computerized lighting system that allows the Minnesota Department of Transportation to make it glow in almost any color.

The one-year anniversary of Prince's death is Friday.
