Drivers will encounter some short-term lane closures along I-94 in the east metro on Monday.

According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, crews will finish striping the lanes between Mounds Boulevard in St. Paul and Century Avenue in Maplewood. I-94 eastbound will be reduced to one lane between 6 a.m. and 3 p.m., while westbound will be single lane starting at 9 a.m. until sunset.

The good news: The ramps from Highway 61 to I-94 eastbound will finally reopen Monday. Learn more about the project.

Watch for some construction changes in Minneapolis. The Portland Avenue Bridge near downtown Minneapolis will reopen this Saturday, November 4 to one lane. The bridge will fully open by Friday November 10. The 31st Street ramp to I-35W southbound is also scheduled to reopen on November 10. The closures are related to the 35W project between I-94 and Highway 62.
