A 49-year-old man is in critical condition after he was hit by a light rail train around 7:50 p.m. on Christmas at Prior Avenue in St. Paul.
Metro Transit said surveillance footage shows the man was "staggering" before he fell on the tracks and was hit by the train.

David John Hardy remains at Regions Hospital for treatment. Metro Transit said it is awaiting medical tests to see the exact circumstances as to why Hardy was staggering.
The Green Line was closed for more than an hour as investigators reconstructed the crash.
