Signs are up around the Twin Cities metro reminding drivers that a couple of big road closures are happening.
We should be getting used to this one: Minnesota Highway 100 is closed for the third weekend in a row. The southbound lanes between Interstate 394 and Minnesota Highway 62 shut down beginning at 10 p.m. Friday and will be closed until 5 a.m. Monday. Try taking either U.S. Highway 169 or Interstate 35W. Learn more about the project.
It’s hard to miss all the construction that’s happening on Interstate 94 in St. Paul. According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, I-94 is closed in both directions between Lexington Parkway and Interstate 35E from 8 p.m. Friday until 5 p.m. Sunday. Although I-94 between Minnesota Highway 280 and Lexington will remain open, the road will be reduced to one lane in both directions. Learn more about the project.
Earlier this week, Minnesota Highway 3 in Farmington closed in both directions near Minnesota Highway 50. The road will stay closed through the weekend until 5 a.m. Monday. Once the road reopens, it will still be down to one lane until further notice for resurfacing and other improvements. Learn more about the project.
