A Circle Pines man suffered serious injuries after a two-motorcycle crash near Taylors Falls Sunday afternoon.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, 62-year-old David Anderson of Circle Pines was on a 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle traveling west on Highway 95 when he slowed to make a left turn onto Mulberry Street.

A Kawasaki Ninja traveling behind Anderson attempted to pass the Harley in the lane of oncoming traffic but clipped the back of the bike, causing the crash at about 3:30 p.m.

Anderson was taken to Region's Hospital with what the state patrol said were life-threatening injuries. His passenger, 57-year-old Crystal McCarty, also of Circle Pines, was taken to Region's with non-life threatening injuries.

Both the driver of the Ninja, 64-year-old Jeffrey Larson of Brooklyn Center, and the passenger, 50-year-old Trina Anderson of Minneapolis, were taken to the St. Croix Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

None of the four involved in the crash was wearing a helmet. The State Patrol report says alcohol was a factor on the part of Larson, the driver of the Ninja.
