Man Dies in Apple Valley Car Crash

Forty-five-year-old Scott Hartung was killed in a car crash in Apple Valley Monday after he was ejected from his car. 

Hartung died on the scene after lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful.Three other occupants - a 42-year-old woman, 1-year-old and 2-year-old - suffered minor injuries.

Apple Valley Police and the fire department were called to the scene at 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of Galaxie Avenue and 140th Street. 

Witnesses told authorities that Hartung was "traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of Galaxie Avenue," when the car struck another vehicle that was stopped, according to a statement from police.
