Parise does a ton for United Heroes League, the former Defending The Blue Line. UHL works directly with military families and their children, furnishing equipment, ice time, etc. UHL also works with professional sports organizations, in addition to the NHL. Parise was joined at Wednesday's event by teammate Marcus Foligno. They donated 25 full sets of new equipment to the military kids in need.
Parise and Foligno played boot hockey with military kids, and posed for photos.
Parise said his recovery is going well, and noted that he practiced a little on Wednesday at the "X" with his teammates. While not giving a timetable on when he could potentially return to action, sometime in late December or early January is the buzz.
The Wild are 11-10-3 through 24 games.
