Wild's Zach Parise: 'Still a Ways to go' Before Return to Game Action

Wild forward Zach Parise has been skating with his teammates this week, but he admitted Friday morning that he's still a ways away from returning to game action.

Parise hasn't played so far this season after undergoing back surgery.

"There's still a ways to go," Parise told reporters. "My conditioning is getting better and I'm going down the right path."

Friday was Parise's first full practice since undergoing surgery to repair a herniated disc over seven weeks ago. He still hasn't been cleared for full contact. Parise also took part in Thursday's pre-game skate, so being able to go back-to-back days is encouraging.

The Wild, minus Parise, return to action Saturday afternoon at the "X" vs. Edmonton.
