The Montreal Canadiens announced via their Twitter feed that they've acquired defenseman Mike Reilly from the Wild for a future draft pick. It's a 5th round selection in the 2019 Draft.

Reilly, a former Gophers All-American from the Twin Cities, played parts of three seasons with the Wild and had four goals.

Reilly played well last week in a win in New Jersey with Canadiens decision-makers in attendance.

The Reilly move was the only trade the Wild made on deadline day. However, Calgary claimed forward Chris Stewart off of waivers. He has 13 points in 47-games this season.
